Majoring in International Studies at Hanyang University, Ben brings a global perspective and strong academic foundation to his work as an English educator. His university experience, combined with his active participation in programs such as Model United Nations, has strengthened his communication, negotiation, and leadership skills—qualities that deeply influence his teaching approach today.
Before dedicating himself to education, Ben gained extensive professional experience as a Korean–English interpreter, working with businessmen and executives across diverse industries such as automobile trading, cosmetics, hospitality, tourism, and education. Through these experiences, he developed a refined understanding of how English functions in real-world business contexts—knowledge that he now applies in helping students communicate naturally, confidently, and professionally.
Over the years, Ben has taught students of all ages and backgrounds, including doctors, architects, marketers, and business owners, in both private and group settings. His classes are built around one guiding principle: students learn best by speaking. Every lesson is interactive, discussion-based, and designed to maximize each student’s speaking time, ensuring they develop not just accuracy but fluency and confidence in real communication.
Outside of teaching, Ben is passionate about fitness, running, and golf, having been a junior golf champion during his youth. He believes that language learning—like training in sports—requires consistency, discipline, and a positive mindset. These values are reflected in his patient yet motivating classroom environment.
Looking ahead, Ben is currently preparing to pursue law studies in the United States, aiming to combine his international background, communication expertise, and passion for education into a career bridging language, law, and global understanding. His broad experience and forward-looking mindset make his classes not only educational, but also inspiring for students seeking real-world growth through English.
